Description/directions to location: Valley Gardens adjacent to Magnesia Well Cafe. Follow signs for Valley Gardens, just before main entrance gates (at end of shops) turn left up Valley Drive (steep hill) and will find a pedestrian entrance about 400 yds on right. Pond is 50 yds inside. Can park on either side of road but Mon to Sat need parking disc (local shops will give you one)

I remeber playing with a toy yacht on this 'pond' as a child (my father came from Scarborough). It is still there as far as I know, but too small for a real model boat pond. You can see almost the entire 'lake' in the photo - I seem to remeber it isn't very deep either.

I wouldn't think it really merits an entry on the site (unless someone from the area says otherwise).

Paddling pool suitable for smaller and toy boats

Down Coast Road east of town, among the grassy dunes which are known as The Stray.
