the boat at Hythe Marina.
After
a short familiarisation with the boat, we'll head
out onto Southampton Water towards Hamble. |

Cunard cruise ships berth opposite Hythe Marina so
there's a chance of seeing some famous ships... |

Hamble
is great for a mooch to see what's going on
around the jetties.

Hamble head across to the Beaulieu River and The New
Forest |

Picturesque and peaceful |

Maybe
stop for lunch at Beaulieu before leaving the Beaulieu
River and heading across to Cowes. |

stretching your legs? Maybe have a wander around the
town and marinas. |

can play it by ear. |

The itinerary
will very much depend on the tide and weather. What
to bring -
picnic, snacks, drinks, swimming togs/wetsuit, sunscreen, towel,
etc...

based on a mixture of cruising and
lazing around throughout the day. Additional fuel
costs for extended cruising and cost of berthing
at stops (if required - for example in Cowes) -
shouldn't be much when shared between 5 of us.

Solent is a large playground for boats so there's
lots of options for the day and plenty of variety - Southampton
Water, Hamble, Beaulieu River, Cowes.....
